Opening Ceremony & Welcome Reception

The Opening Ceremony will take place on Thursday, 16 May 2019 between 17:30 and 19:00 in room King Willem Alex­ander. Following the Opening Ceremony, all delegates are invited to the Welcome Reception, which will be taking place in the Exhibition Area between 19:00 – 20:30 and includes drinks and cocktail snacks.

 

Round Table Sessions

There will be two Round Table Sessions each taking place on Friday, 17 May and Saturday, 18 May from 8:00 – 9:00. Those sessions will be more hands-on and allow the participants to discuss several topics face-to-face and without presentations.

EORNA Booth

Meet the EORNA Family and learn more about perioperative nursing in other countries.

From Friday, 17 May until Sunday, 19 May several national associations and members of EORNA will present their country and association at the EORNA Booth in the Registration Area.

Delegates are welcome to “drop in” and discover more on perioperative nursing in their country as well as get information on the main goals and activities of their national association.

Please have a look at the Scientific Programme overview to see which country is present at what time. There is no registration required.

Simulation Centre

The Simulation Centre will be located in the Exhibition Area. There will be Hands-on sessions supported by Serres (on Friday) and Hill-Rom (on Saturday).

The topic on Friday will be “Medical Suction and Fluid Waste Management” and the topic on Saturday will be “Patient Positioning”. Participation is granted on a first come, first served basis. No extra registration fee required.

Congress Run

The Congress Run will take place on Friday, 17 May 2019 at 07:00 before the sessions start. All delegates, family and friends are welcome! The run consists of a warm up of about 6 minutes, a dynamic workout, the course (5km) and a final stretch.

The entrance fee is 5 EUR (including a t-shirt sponsored by Interchange): proceeds will be donated to Juli­ana‘s Children‘s Hospital, The Hague.

  • Meeting point for all registered runners: Hotel Novotel Den Haag World Forum, Johan de Wittlaan 42-44, 2517 JR Den Haag next to the main entrance

The Congress Organisation Team will welcome all runners and hand over the t-shirt. Running leaders will inform the group about the course and the rules of the run and also guide the runners in the front, middle and back. A photographer will take pictures before the run as well as a group picture after about 3,5km in front of the Peace Palace. Back at the Hotel Novotel Den Haag World Forum, all runners will get a bottle of water and a piece of fruit.

Congress Dinner

The Congress Dinner will take place on Saturday, 18 May 2019 at 19:30 at Madurodam (George Maduroplein 1, 2584 RZ Den Haag). The miniature theme park Madurodam is situated in The Hague and nearby the tulip field region. The interactive miniature park is the ultimate place to discover what makes Holland so unique within a short period of time.

The Congress Dinner includes a bus shuttle from the headquarter hotels (Novotel and Marriott) and back, a Welcome Reception, a seated 3-course menu, live band and DJ as well as an exclusive night visit of the miniature park Madurodam.
